Passionate About Empowering Others

Struggles with mental health do not have to take over your life, they do not have to define you as a person, it’s just important that you ask for help. It’s not a sign of weakness when you open yourself up to the reality that, maybe, you are not in this alone. We are spirits experiencing a human existence and I truly believe that by empowering ourselves to make room in our lives for healing, we will better for it. By taking the steps to heal ourselves we can begin to heal the collective.

Helping you Navigate a Path Toward Healing

Family dynamics a struggle? Do past hurts get in the way of your happiness today? Are your relationships becoming difficult? Are you struggling with your identity? Are your thoughts consuming you? If so, I can help. Appointments available for new clients! My approach is realistic, yet nurturing, and is rooted in family systems, neuropsychology and the mind-body connection. I use an empathetic, warm style that is based on clinical knowledge about how thoughts, emotions and behaviors impact our lives. I work with clients in the present moment, drawing on past experiences and relationships to build personal insight.

I am graduate of Benedictine University and hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology. In addition to my therapy background, I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and am NADA certified in Oricular Acupuncture. I work to meld Eastern and Western modalities for a holistic approach to therapy that incorporates the mind, body and spirit connection. Prior to my current role at Resonate + Elevate, I worked for a private practice focused on individual therapy, specializing working with BIPOC communities as well as LGBTQ+ communities. I also worked for a national rehabilitation center helping patients in both group and individual services on their journey toward sobriety. My specialties include depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, individuals struggling with transition, impulse control, and trauma. I provide individual, family and couples counseling regardless of sexual orientation. Using skills based therapies & mindfulness approaches, my goal is to empower everyone to find their own path. I also share empowering and informative articles on my blog here.

The practice I am a part of - Resonate & Elevate - is LGBTQ+ affirming, I am a member of WPATH and the Gender Non-Conforming Commission of Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. As a clinician I believe in being committed to inclusivity, supporting the BIPOC community and the long-term healing of all people regardless of race, sex, gender, gender identity or ethnicity.
